Membership - Last August 24 -28 2024 at Dominion Convention two resolutions were passed, one was to raise the Per Capita amount by $1.25 and the other was to raise the cost for Canvet Publications ( Legion Magazine ) portion by $ 3.45 for a total increase of $ 4.70.  At the September Executive meeting in 2024 the motion was carried not to increase the Membership Dues for 2025 and the branch would absorb the increase but we would increase the dues for 2026.  At our June Executive meeting the motion to increase dues for 2026 to $ 60.00 was carried, further at our June General meeting the motion to increase dues for 2026 to $ 60.00 was carried.  Therefore, our 2026 renewal rate will be $ 60.00 as of the June General meeting.

BBQ Raffle - A BBQ, brand new and in a box, was donated to the branch.  It has been decided to raffle it off as a fund raiser, the tickets are $ 5.00 each and only 200 tickets are available at the bar.  The BBQ is a 5 burner Grill Pro.

VJ Day - Will be held at our branch on August 10th at 1:30pm with all branches in our Zone and Zone Commander as well the District Commander  invited and a light lunch afterwards.

Dieppe Day - Will be held at Dieppe Branch #90 in Fall River on August 17th at 1:00pm, hope to see you there

The Chezzetcook and District Lions Club accepts used glasses, hearing aids and CPAP devices for redistribution to peole who need but cannot afford the items.  If you have any items to donate, then contact David Crawford at 902-827-3552 to arrange pickup.
